HUNTS  AND  WHAT  TO  BRING

Hunts and what to expect

At Watson Farms Outfitters, we hunt a wide variety of habitats, including fields, flooded timber, and marshes. Our property features numerous feeding areas, hundreds of acres of flooded timber, and fields managed primarily as roosting and feeding habitat. Throughout the season, we regularly move between hunting locations based on weather conditions, accessibility, duck activity, and where birds are concentrating to provide our hunters with the best possible opportunity for success.

When you book a hunt with us, we will select the location that we believe offers the greatest chance for a productive and enjoyable hunt. Depending on the hunting location, waders may be required. If you do not have waders, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to make accommodations.

Federal law requires the use of non-toxic shot while waterfowl hunting. We recommend using 3-inch steel shot shells in sizes #2 through #4, paired with a modified or full choke for optimal performance. We also recommend bringing a gun case to help protect your firearm during transportation, although we will always do our best to care for your equipment throughout the hunt.

All hunters are responsible for obtaining the proper licenses and permits before hunting. Requirements may vary depending on your age and residency status. For the most current information, please contact the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) at 888-841-8972 or visit the TWRA website.
